This document sets out the terms and conditions between Data Universe Ltd. and you when you purchase a ticket or register for any event or conference organized by Data Universe Ltd. or participate in any survey of Data Universe Ltd.’s.
By purchasing a ticket or registering for an event or conference organized by Data Universe Ltd. or participating in a survey you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.
You should read this document carefully. Data Universe Ltd. reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any amended terms and conditions will be posted on this website.

DECLARATION OF CONSENT
I hereby give my consent for Data Universe Ltd. (and its partners) to collect, process and use my personal data for the purposes of processing the purchase of my ticket (or application) and for any other use to which I have consented.
T his information will be used for the purposes of processing ticket sales and compiling delegate lists which will be published on our websites and across any relevant online portals, mobile applications, websites, or platforms, and circulated by email to our email database, which includes all past and current delegates.
If you do not wish for your name, photograph, country of residence, and company name to appear on the delegate list please send us an email at privacy (at) datasciconference.com
ONLINE SURVEYS
I hereby give my consent for Data Universe Ltd. to store any voluntary information I may provide in the course of participating in an online survey. I acknowledge and accept that my data will be used for commercial purposes in accordance with this Policy and will be retained and stored for this purpose.
WORKSHOPS AND TECHNICAL TUTORIALS REGISTRATION
I hereby give my consent for Data Universe Ltd. to share any voluntary information I may provide in the course of registering for any workshop or technical tutorial before and during the Data Science Conference events with it’s partners who are organizing the workshop or tutorial I registered for.
EVENT INFORMATION
I acknowledge that the Data Universe Ltd. will not provide transport or travel expenses to Data Science Conference events
VOLUNTEERS
By agreeing to act as a volunteer at an event, I acknowledge that : I will receive no compensation for travel, accommodation etc. There is no guarantee that I will be selected to be a volunteer at the event. If I violate any event rule or fail to show up for an assigned shift, my accreditation can be removed and I will be denied access to the event. I attest to the truth of all statements made in my application. The use of alcohol and/or controlled substances before or while on duty is strictly prohibited.Violation of this policy will result in immediate dismissal, removal of accreditation and removal from the event grounds.
In the course of the event I may be dealing with confidential information and I agree to keep such information in the strictest of confidence.
I have read and fully understood these terms and conditions.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Data Universe Ltd. reserves the right to modify this Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our homepage and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of the changes.
COMPLAINTS
Complaints can be made to privacy (at) datasciconference.com. We will endeavor to resolve any customer complaints where reasonable.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
PLEASE READ THE IMPORTANT CANCELLATION AND REFUND INFORMATION BELOW – THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY.
CANCELLATION POLICY
You have the right to cancel your attendance within 30 days without giving any reason. All cancellations must be submitted in writing, telephone requests will not be honored. Requests for cancellation must be emailed to finance (at) datasciconference.com or addressed to:

Cancellations received more than 30 days prior to the conference, paid or unpaid invoices will incur a €50.00 administrative fee.
Cancellations received 14 to 30 days prior to the conference, paid or unpaid invoices will be refunded at 50% of the invoice.
No refunds will be given for cancellations received within 14 days of the conference and all unpaid invoices will be due in full.
REFUND POLICY
All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing by the deadline(s) listed within this policy. Telephone requests will not be honored. Requests for refunds must be emailed to finance (at) datasciconference.com or addressed to:

Letters and/or an email should be received or postmarked by no later than 30 days prior to the first day of the conference to receive a full refund of the registration fee (less an administrative fee of €50.00).
Refund requests postmarked or emailed less than 30 days, but prior to 14 days from the start of the conference – will receive a 50% refund.
Requests for refunds received within 14 days of the conference will not be considered. Refunds will be sent or credited within four to six weeks after the conference has concluded.
IMPORTANT NOTE: CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY IS INTENDED ONLY FOR REGULAR TICKETS. PROMO TICKETS (BLIND BIRD TICKET, WAKEUP TICKET ETC), STUDENTS AND TICKETS WITH DISCOUNT ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.
PRIVACY POLICY
USE OF PERSONAL DATA
Data Universe Ltd. will not share your address, e-mail address, credit card information or personal information to any third party without your permission. I hereby give my consent for Data Universe Ltd. to store the following types of data as a profile for internal purposes :
* Mandatory and voluntary data collected when purchasing tickets.
* Mandatory and voluntary data collected when registering a complimentary admission ticket as well as the date of the ticket registration.
* Voluntary disclosures when participating in online surveys.
* If I have opted-in to receive email communication about related events I give consent for Data Universe Ltd. to analyse and use the data for the purpose of targeted advertising communications to me on relevant topics, events and products in connection with Data Universe Ltd. or subsidiary events and promotions.
* If I have provided my mobile telephone number I consent to Data Universe Ltd. to contact me by SMS or by Calling in relation to events for which I am purchasing a ticket or registering an expression of interest.
* I furthermore consent to the mathematical and statistical analysis of my personal data for advertising purposes (scoring). However, my e-mail address may be used for advertising purposes only with my express consent.
* I also give my consent for my data to be updated and supplemented with additional data.
* I give my consent for Data Universe Ltd. to collect data relating to me personally from public domain sources and to store these along with my personal data that are already under the control of Data Universe Ltd.. I give my consent for Data Universe Ltd. to analyze this newly collected data together with the data already under their control and to use the same for the purpose of targeted advertising communications to me on relevant topics and products in connection with trade fairs and/or exhibitors of interest.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
When personal information (e.g. name, e-mail address, work address, phone numbers, and other contact information) is provided through the Data Science Conference website or directly to us by e-mail you are giving consent to Data Universe Ltd. for : * Processing and administering your personal data to perform all necessary actions to give effect to your request or instructions * Retaining a record of incoming and outgoing communications (e.g. email) to process your personal data as outlined in this Privacy Statement.
* Data Universe Ltd. may also collect the following information about you :
** Information that you provide by filling in forms on Data Science Conference website.

COMMENTS

MEDIA
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

In the event of any conflict between these terms and the provisions of the Data Protection Acts, the Data Protection Acts shall prevail.

CODE OF CONDUCT
Data Science Conference welcomes everyone and is dedicated to defending anybody from harassment, regardless of gender, gender identity, and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion.
We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Conference participants violating these rules will be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers. Harassment includes any verbal comments that reinforce social structure domination, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking or following, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact or encouraging any of the above behaviors. Sexual language and imagery will not be tolerated for any conference venue, workshops, parties, talks, and online media. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Exhibitors, sponsor or vendor booths and volunteers are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, partners and exhibitors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material. Booth staff, conference organizers or volunteers should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes or otherwise create a sexualized environment.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, event organizers retain the right to take any actions to keep the event a welcoming environment for all participants.
As organizers, we take the liberty of rejecting offers and collaboration with entities who are executing activities with connections to child labor, exploitation of people, gambling, drugs or weapons. We expect participants to follow these rules at all event venues and event-related social activities.
We think people should follow these rules outside event activities too! If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact our team at support (at) datasciconference.com.
Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.
