Goran runs AI and ML projects in media and editorial analytics as a leader of the Smartocto LABS team and has previously held a full-stack Data Science position with Wikidata, the World’s largest open knowledge base. He also runs DataKolektiv, a Data Science and Engineering consultancy firm in Belgrade. His academic background is in Decision Theory, Causality, and Concept Learning.

Pawel has been professionally involved in data analytics for almost 10 years as data scientist, team leader, and project manager. He took part in many advanced analytics projects, such as production line monitoring, reviews analysis, and price forecasting. His main experience and interests are in pharmaceutical and health care industries, but he has been involved in projects from different areas, such as finance, retail, energy, and agriculture.

Currently he is responsible for designing and implementing data solutions, mainly involving machine learning and artificial intelligence.

He also shares his knowledge as a data science trainer, lecturer and speaker at conferences. I also constantly work on increasing my skills. In addition, he co-authored scientific papers, mainly focusing on medicine and statistics, published in journals from the Master Journal List, among others.

Tomasz Czarnecki is a Google Cloud Data Analytics AI Sales Specialist for the CEE region. He has over 20 years of IT experience, including providing software projects to EMEA/CEE customers in the commercial and public sector. He has expertise in a variety of IT technologies, including cloud and on-premises, data management, BI analytics, AI/ML, ERP, MES, ADC, and IoT. He has also experience in managing software and digital transformation across different industries.
Previously, Tomasz worked as a Key Account Manager for the UK at Intive, one of the largest software houses in the CEE, and as a Territory Manager at Oracle Poland.

Miroslav Bicanic is an ML Engineer at CROZ AI d.o.o. He will be joining us from Croatia to present his talk titled: Under Pressure: Applying ML in Real Time

Miroslav has a strong academic background in computer science, and a history of projects spanning many topics. During his master’s program, he focused on exploring innovative approaches to computer control using gestures. His research resulted in the development of an AI-powered application that enables full gesture-based mouse control through a web-camera, showcasing his ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical solutions.

During his employment in TakeLab, Miroslav also worked on ALANNO – an annotation platform for NLP datasets powered by Active Learning – and contributed to a system demo paper about it, which was published and presented at the EACL conference in 2023.

Having worked as an ML Engineer at CROZ AI for the past two years, Miroslav has gained valuable experience in ML System Design and Real-Time ML, while his contributions to various projects have demonstrated their proficiency in delivering effective outcomes.

Milan Bradonjic is a Senior Software Engineer at Schneider Electric, coming from Serbia to deliver his talk titled: Using AI for cheaper and more efficient solar power

Milan received a Ph.D. at the University of California Los Angeles in 2008 in Electrical Engineering. Dr Bradonjic was a postdoctoral research fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and has a wide academic and industrial experience.

He has held positions as a senior research scientist, senior research engineer, and senior machine learning engineer at Bell Labs, Rutgers University, Oath, Apprentice, Spotify, Schneider Electric.
Milan’s main research focuses in the areas of Random Graph Theory, Probability, Stochastic Geometry and their applications in Mathematical Modeling, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence.
He has been teaching different Machine Learning and Advanced Programming courses at New York University, New York.

He won a number of National Mathematics Olympiads and was awarded for excellence during his undergraduate and graduate studies. Also he was a co-PI on a DOE grant during his postdoctoral appointment. Dr Bradonjic has published about thirty journal and conference peer-reviewed publications, and has been regularly invited to conduct research and to deliver talks.

Tomislav received his B.S. degree in computing and the M.S. degree in information and communication technology from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, in 2012 and 2015, respectively.
In 2022. he received the Ph.D. degree from the same faculty with a thesis in the domain of data lakes and spatio-temporal data. In 2016. After several years working as an application developer, he shifted his career to being a business intelligence consultant at Poslovna Inteligencija, holding various roles on international and domestic projects.
In 2018.he started his lecturing career path, first with Algebra University College, holding courses in the business intelligence and data engineering domains, and since 2020. as an external associate at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing.
